She looked good, the light looked good, I said "can I take your picture?", she said "okay."

Another great shot in this set.

I love the fact that your model appears to be standing straight, but the world is at an angle - really makes her stand out.
The line of bouys also fills in what would have been a relatively empty space, which works nicely.
Her eyes are just incredible - so icy-blue, just beautiful.

Excellent.

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
the angle you shot this on does so much for the photo. i didn't even recognize those orange bouys until i turned my head to the same angle as the horizon. the visual emphasis of the photo rolls downhill towards her eyes, because of the treeline. this could do with some more post work to jazz it up a bit, if you could stand to let go of your well-lit minimalism here. :P i take it you shot this on film?

very good work mike, further evidence that you should elaborate on portraiture. ;)
What kind of post work would you suggest? The tree behind her head kinda sucks, but its pretty hard to brush it out. Interested to hear your suggestions! :)

Mmm... Gibson.
the next time you're on MSN, send me the original scan and i'll take a shot at an edit. ;)
nicely done mike, i enjoy how the background is tilted and she's still upright. The focusing is also a great feature in the picture, it's nice, she has that glow about her.

-Do you ever wish that all of life's questions could be answered with one short word?
-no.
i also enjoy how the background is tilted and she's still upright. i also also enjoy the lighting.

you keep looking but you can't find the words, are you hiding in the trees?
Hey I know that girl.
Great shot, The Butcher.

When the Shades came up, it was Wes Dakus and the Rebels was it, yea, he'd wear a little suit and play bass-Tommy Chong

I wonder if I could make an electric bass?- Leo Fender
Camp. Style. Keep it real (and pooped on).

Thanks man!

Mmm... Gibson.
I want to see more of her eyes, but dude, nice skin tones and way to break away from stupid fucking straight horizons ;] And the tree behind her head does kinda suck, but I only really noticed after reading the comments :P

Repeat after me: "Good shot" is not a Good Comment.
